This policy explains how cancellation, statutory withdrawal and refunds work for Helgio subscriptions purchased through the web.
Helgio web subscriptions are sold and processed by Paddle, an authorised reseller / Merchant of Record. The relevant Paddle contracting entity depends on the buyer's location under Paddle's Buyer Terms.
Paddle processes the payment, issues the transaction documentation, handles applicable transaction taxes and operates the web-subscription cancellation, statutory withdrawal and refund process.

Helgio currently provides up to 20 translation requests before registration and 100 additional translation requests after registration. Reaching a free limit does not itself create a charge. A paid subscription starts only after you deliberately complete the checkout presented by Paddle.
Subscriptions renew automatically according to the billing period shown at checkout until cancelled.
You can cancel a web subscription through the Paddle Customer Portal or another cancellation method provided by Paddle. Cancellation normally takes effect at the end of the current billing period, so paid features remain available until then and no further renewal charge is taken after cancellation becomes effective.
Your saved vocabulary and learning cards remain available after the paid subscription ends as described in the Terms of Use.
If consumer law gives you a right to withdraw from a transaction, the applicable right is administered by Paddle for the web purchase. Paddle's current policy provides a 14-day statutory withdrawal period for eligible EU/EEA consumer transactions, subject to the conditions and exceptions stated in Paddle's Buyer Terms and Refund Policy.
For eligible EU transactions, Paddle states that an online withdrawal option is available in the Paddle Customer Portal during the applicable withdrawal period. You can normally reach the portal through the Manage subscription or Manage transaction link in the Paddle transaction email, or through paddle.net.
Do not use ordinary subscription cancellation when you specifically intend to exercise a statutory right of withdrawal: use the withdrawal/refund method shown by Paddle for the transaction.
Refund eligibility and timing for the purchase are governed by Paddle's Refund Policy and mandatory law. Paddle's policy also describes discretionary refunds and refunds for material technical or product defects.
If a product problem prevents Helgio from working as described, contact us at support@helgio.io so that we can investigate the product issue. For the payment refund itself, Paddle may require the request to be submitted through its support or Customer Portal.
Nothing in this policy limits mandatory consumer rights, including rights relating to defective or non-conforming digital services. Where mandatory law provides greater protection than this summary, the mandatory law applies.
